I made this amazing dish for a wine pairing course at Chico State a few weeks ago from a recipie found on epicurious.com. I paired it with Forestville's Gewurztraminer which went fabulously. I opted to not use the cherry tomatoes, and still loved it.

8 skinless boneless chicken breast halves (each about 7 ounces)
48 8-inch bamboo skewers, soaked in water 30 minutes, drained
1 1-pint basket grape tomatoes or small cherry tomatoes
1 cup olive oil
1 cup fresh lemon juice
6 bay leaves, broken into small pieces
3 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
4 large garlic cloves, pressed
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1 cup light mayonnaise
Cut each chicken breast half lengthwise into 6 thin strips. Thread each strip completely onto 1 skewer, leaving 1/2 inch of skewer exposed at 1 end. Press 1 grape tomato onto end of skewer. Divide skewers between two 15x10x2-inch glass baking dishes, stacking skewers if necessary.
Pour oil into bowl. Whisk in next 6 ingredients. Pour marinade over chicken. Marinate 1 hour at room temperature, turning often, or cover and chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 425°F. Remove skewers from marinade and arrange on 2 large rimmed baking sheets; reserve marinade. Bake chicken until just cooked through, about 8 minutes. Transfer to platter.
Transfer reserved marinade to medium saucepan. Boil over medium-high heat 1 minute. Cool marinade 15 minutes. Strain. Pour 1/2 cup marinade into medium bowl; whisk in mayonnaise. Season sauce to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon remaining marinade over chicken to moisten. Serve chicken with sauce.

So I have officially begun my personal effort to stop using so much plastic! I purchased my first Klean Kanteen at my local Thursday Night Market, which is basically a farmers' market/flea market. My ocean blue reusable water bottle is made of food grade stainless steel and carries a whopping 27 oz of liquid; it was $20. In addition to the loop lid mine came with, I purchased the sports lid for working out or being lazy, which was only $3. I'm very excited to not only begin to use less plastic in my lifestyle (i.e. plastic water bottles that I used to purchase by the case), but also to save some SERIOUS money by not having to keep buying new water bottles. I can refill my Kanteen with filtered water from the convenience of my own Brita water filter or at work from my water cooler. I can't wait to reap all of the benefits!

Here are some pics of me with everyone I love most!

If you haven't read this book, I suggest you go get it! It's so informative and helpful! It's a modern guide to etiquette and DIY-ers, as well as things every girl should know. I bought mine on Half.com for about $12 and ended up buying one for a friend for around the same price. I love it because you can use it as a reference guide if you're ever in a questionable situation, writing thank you notes, don't know what to cook for dinner, or need to know how to wash something.
My friend (the bride) is only 5'0, so we all agreed we'd wear flats to not tower over her in her heels. 2 brides maids are wearing sand/champagne colored dresses and 2 are wearing chocolate brown (the dresses are identical otherwise). My friend wants us to wear matching shoes, but is it too much to ask to wear different colored shoes? Gold would look best with the chocolate but she doesn't think gold will look good with the sand. What are we to do?
